This set features 'Aunt Judy's Annual Volumes' and were edited by the founder Mrs Margaret Gatty and her daughter J. H. Ewing. The annuals were intended for children and included poems, songs and charming stories. The annuals were named after her daughter, whose nickname was 'Judy', and was intended to tell stories that would guide children to live a moral life and bring joy to both children and adults. Externally very smart with slight fading to the spines, the odd minor mark, bumping to the extremities, slight rubbing to the joints to the odd volume, small closed tears to the head of '1883, 1877, 1870', to the tail to '1885' and to the head and tail to '1873'. Rear board bowing slightly to '1880' with slight cockling and rear joint starting to '1867' and slight cockling to the front board to '1882'. Slight marks to the endpapers with tidemarks to '1866' and to the rear to '1867 and '1870', hinges starting to '1866, 1867, 1875, 1883 (weak to the front) , 1885, 1876 and 1873, front hinge tender to '1881' and failed to '1874' and to the rear of '1879', with front weak. Loss to endpapers to '1874'. Internally hinge tender after pp. iv to '1880' and pp. 56 to '1870', the front endpaper to pp. iv disbound but present to '1875' and the odd page disbound but present to other volumes with the title page to pp. 2 disbound but present to '1882'. Lightly age toned pages and the odd spot, heavier to front and rear to '1880 and 1877' and offsetting to the odd page.
