Pri popisu zachrany trosecniku z potopenych lodi Prien ctenarum lici svou predstavu "cestne a rytirske" valky. Je dokonce mozne, ze zprvu tak skutecne uvazoval. Ackoli se nedozil doby, kdy doslo na valku "totalni" je zrejme, ze torpeda z jeho podmorskeho clunu pobila stovky nevinnych lidi .
