Vorliegend ein Blatt aus einer frühen Ausgabe um 1660 in einem prägnanten und gratigen Abzug. - Hollstein 11; New Hollstein 10; Wibiral 11. - Frans Snyders war ein flämischer Maler in Antwerpen, Schüler von Pieter Bruegel und Hendrick van Balen. Er betrieb ein großes Atelier und fertigte mit zahlreichen Schülern, zu denen auch Jan Fyt zählte, Auftragsarbeiten an. Er schuf große Stillleben und machte sich auch einen Namen in der Tiermalerei.
