Maestro Teofilo de Angelis war ein Dirigent und Musiker, der mit Giacomo Puccini in Verbindung stand, insbesondere durch seine Arbeit an der Aufführung von Puccinis Opern. De Angelis dirigierte unter anderem Produktionen von Puccinis Werken. Seine Zusammenarbeit mit Puccini trug dazu bei, die Werke des Komponisten auf die Bühne zu bringen und die musikalische Qualität der Aufführungen sicherzustellen.

Schreibt ihr wegen Hotelunterkunft, erwähnt David Emil Seligman, den Mann seiner Freundin Sybil Seligmann sowie Riccardo Schnabl Rossi und hofft sie in Viareggio zu sehen. - Die Sopranistin trat in der deutschen Erstaufführung von "Suor Angelica" in Hamburg am 2.2.1921 in der Titelrolle auf. Ein Jahr später konnte Puccini sie für die Rolle der "Musetta" in "La Bohème" nach Rom holen. Ihre erfolgreiche Karriere begann in Hamburg, wo sie 1915 debütierte und bis 1918 blieb. 1918-19 war sie Mitglied der Wiener Staatsoper, kehrte 1921 wieder an die Oper nach Hamburg zurück und gehörte zu deren bekanntesten Künstlern. 1928 und 1930 gastierte sie in Amsterdam, 1928-29 an der Mailänder Scala, ferner in Berlin und München. 1933 musste sie als Jüdin Deutschland verlassen und ließ sich schließlich als Pädagogin in Buenos Aires nieder.

Zustand: Very good condition. A striking black and white photographic portrait of the Italian composer of opera, including La Boheme, Tosca, Madama Butterfly, and Turandot. With a handwritten and signed note. The note is on letterhead 'Torre del Lago, Toscana', and dated September 30, 1911, and reads "My Dear Tonino, I stopped by to say hello to you and the young lady, but nobody was at home. I am leaving for London and Liverpool, and I shall be back in about twelve days. I am having an addition built to my existing cement dock extending out on the lake. I shall have it built with wood, covered by sheet metal, three meters by five. I am telling you this so that you may notify the town authorities. Our friend, Nasone, continues to spoil my hunting expeditions by preceding me with his early morning walks and flushing out whatever game there is. How long can this go on, I ask you? If this continues, I shall wind up asking you to introduce me to the sport of fishing, and I shall make you an offer you cannot refuse. By the way, let me know when Nasone's contract expires. We are all well and I shall write again. Adieu. P. S. Should we buy the little motorboat that Sargentini cut down in size? It would be very useful to me. It could be used instead of the three row boats which I keep on the dock." It is signed Puccini. The letter is addressed to Antonio Bettolacci, a friend and the administrator of the Marchese Ginori, which was across Lake Massaciuccoli. The "young lady" referred to is most likely Maria Bianca Ginori, the daughter of Carlo Ginori. Sargentini was the Ginori family chauffeur and mechanic. The photograph 4 3/4 x 6 3/4". The note, 6 x 9 1/2". Matted and framed in a gilt and red wood frame, 18 1/2 x 16".

In den dreißiger und vierziger Jahren war sie in Nürnberg, Stuttgart, München und Köln engagiert. Ab 1951 bis zu ihrem Bühnenabschied 1965 war sie Mitglied der Staatsoper Stuttgart, wo sie auch zum Ehrenmitglied ernannt wurde. Sie trat an allen großen europäischen Opernhäusern auf, wirkte bei den Salzburger (1942 als Zdenka in Arabella von Richard Strauss) und Bayreuther Festspielen mit (1952 als Eva in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg). Jänner 1927 in St. Pölten; ? 29. Juli 2013 in Wien[1]) war ein österreichischer Opern-, Operetten- und Musicalsänger mit der Stimmlage Tenor. Er wirkte fast 50 Jahre an der Volksoper Wien. Peter Minich wurde als Sohn einer Wirtsfamilie im St. Pöltner Stadtteil Harland geboren und besuchte zunächst die HTL in Mödling und ließ sich zum Techniker im Maschinenbau ausbilden. Nach 1945 besuchte er das Max Reinhardt Seminar und das Franz Schubert Konservatorium[2] in Wien, nebenbei studierte er Gesang. 1948 begann er seine Bühnenkarriere als Schauspieler in dem Wiener Kellertheater Das Experiment und erhielt noch im selben Jahr sein erstes Engagement am Wiener Burgtheater. Im Dezember 1950 gastierte Minich erstmals (als Schauspieler) an der Wiener Volksoper; er übernahm die kleine Rolle eines Leutnants in der Operette Gasparone. 1951 war er am Stadttheater St. Pölten beschäftigt, wo er durch Zufall von Marcel Prawy als Sänger entdeckt wurde, da Minich an diesem Tag für einen erkrankten Kollegen in Boccaccio einsprang. Hier gab er sein Debüt als Sänger in Der Bettelstudent von Carl Millöcker. Auch seine spätere Frau, die Operettensängerin Eleonore Bauer, lernte er in St. Pölten kennen. Von 1951 bis 1955 war er am Stadttheater St. Gallen und von 1955 bis 1960 am Opernhaus Graz engagiert. 1960 wurde er Ensemblemitglied der Volksoper Wien; hier erreichte seine Karriere ihren Höhepunkt. Seine erste Premierenrolle als festes Ensemblemitglied der Wiener Volksoper war Graf Tassilo in der Operette Gräfin Mariza im September 1960. Zuvor hatte er an der Volksoper Wien bereits in Hauptrollen gastiert: 1956 als Petruchio in Kiss Me, Kate und 1957 als Eisenstein in der Operette Die Fledermaus. An der Wiener Volksoper sang er zunächst die klassischen Tenor-Rollen in den Operetten von Carl Millöcker, Johann Strauss, Franz Lehár, Carl Zeller, Robert Stolz und Emmerich Kálmán. Zu Minichs Premierenrollen an der Wiener Volksoper gehörten unter anderem: Symon in Der Bettelstudent (1960), Leutnant Niki in Ein Walzertraum (1960; 1974), Danilo in Die lustige Witwe (1960; 1974), Paul Aubier in Der Opernball (1960; 1985), Achmed Bey in Die Rose von Stambul (1961), die Titelrolle in Boccaccio (1961), Caramello in Eine Nacht in Venedig (1961), Mister X in Die Zirkusprinzessin (1962), Nanki-Puh in Der Mikado (1962), René in Madame Pompadour (1964), René in Der Graf von Luxemburg (1964), Edwin Ronald in Die Csárdásfürstin (1966), Adam in Der Vogelhändler (1966), Graf Zedlau in Wiener Blut (1967), Der Fremde in Venus in Seide (1970), Anton Hofer in Zwei Herzen im Dreivierteltakt (1975) und Leopold in Im weißen Rößl (1976). 1964 sang er an der Wiener Volksoper die Rolle des Leutnant Gustl in der Uraufführung der Operette Frühjahrsparade von Robert Stolz; seine Partnerin war Mimi Coertse. 1973 übernahm Minich an der Wiener Volksoper in einer Neuinszenierung die Rolle des Jim Mahoney in Brecht/Weills Oper Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny; dies blieb eine von Minichs wenigen Opernrollen. 1962 und 1963 übernahm er bei den Salzburger Festspielen die Sprechrolle des Bassa Selim in Mozarts Singspiel Entführung aus dem Serail. Er wirkte in mehreren Fernsehproduktionen mit und übernahm besonders in Operettenverfilmungen bedeutende Rollen, so 1967 die des Adam im Fernsehfilm Der Vogelhändler an der Seite von Lucia Popp und Renate Holm. Mit dem Ensemble der Volksoper war er in der UdSSR und 1982 bis 1983 in Japan zu Gast. Ab 1980 wechselte Peter Minich sukzessive ins Charakterfach und erarbeitete sich komische (Baron Gondremarck in Pariser Leben, Premiere 1981 an der Wiener Volksoper; Oberst Ollendorf in Der Bettelstudent, Premiere 1983 an der Wiener Volksoper; Podestà Nasoni in Gasparone, Premiere 1988 an der Wiener Volksoper; Triquet in Eugen Onegin, Premiere 1990 an der Wiener Volksoper) und ?altersweise? Rollen in den Operetten Der fidele Bauer (als Altbauer Matthäus Scheichelreuther, Premiere September 1997 an der Wiener Volksoper) und Im weißen Rößl (als alter Kaiser Franz Joseph I.). Im Jahre 2005 wurde bei Peter Minich eine Parkinson-Erkrankung diagnostiziert.[3] Im Oktober 2006 übernahm er in der Premiere der Oper Turandot von Giacomo Puccini die Rolle des greisen Kaisers Altoum, seine letzte Rolle an der Wiener Volksoper. In der Saison 2007/08 war KS Peter Minich wieder als Altoum in Turandot sowie beim Eröffnungskonzert im September 2007, in der Musical-Soiree und in der Ralph-Benatzky-Soiree im November/Dezember 2007 zu hören.[4] Als Altoum stand er auch in der Saison 2008/09 nochmals auf der Bühne der Wiener Volksoper. Seinen letzten Auftritt hatte er im Dezember 2009 im Rahmen des Weihnachtskonzertes der Wiener Volksoper. Minich gastierte auch noch im hohen Alter außerhalb der Wiener Volksoper in Operetten, zuletzt auch in Sprechrollen. 1998 trat er am Stadttheater Baden als Honoré Lachailles in dem Musical Gigi auf. Er trat weiters bei den Schlossfestspielen Langenlois (2000; als Fürst Ypsheim-Gindelbach in Wiener Blut), bei den Sommerspielen Perchtoldsdorf (2001; als ?Donna? in Il campiello von Carlo Goldoni) und am Stadttheater Baden (2005; als Kaiser in der Operette Frühjahrsparade von Robert Stolz) auf. 2008 übernahm er, an der Seite von Guggi Löwinger, bei den Berndorfer Festspielen unter der Regie von Felix Dvorak die Rolle des Altpfarrers Cerny in Dvoraks Volksstück Kirchfeld; dies war Minichs letzte Sprechrolle. Grabstätte von Peter Minich am Zentralfriedhof Neue Grabstätte am Sieveringer Friedhof Minich starb im Alter von 86 Jahren an den Folgen einer Lungenentzündung. Er war mit der Operettensängerin Eleonore Bauer (1927-1983) und später mit der Sängerin und Schauspielerin Guggi Löwinger verheiratet. Bestattet wurde Peter Minich auf dem Wiener Zentralfriedhof in einem ehrenhalber gewidmeten Grab.

"The passage occurs towards the end of Act I, when Scarpia, in a monologue over a characteristically obsessive pattern of alternating chords, accompanied by bells, organ, drum beast to stimulate cannon fire and growling bassoons, gloats at the prospect of capturing Angelotti and enjoying Toscar's favours. Puccini's note note of the date of completion of Act I indicated that he discarded drafting material at the conclusion of each section of the opera. The opera as a whole was not competed until October 1899 ." Autograph letter signed, one page,6 x 9,5 inch, Torre Del Lago (Toscana), 23.05.1905, in Italian, to his brother-in-law Raffaello Franceschini (1854-1942) in Pescia - Giacomo Puccini tells his correspondent that he cannot come to Lucca because he is not motorized, written and signed in black ink "Puccini", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Pucciniseated at a piano (altogether 16,5 x 11,75 inch), withthree horizontal mailing folds, and scattered mildsigns of wear - in fine condition.

One sheet measuring 17.5 x 23 cm, folded twice, one unfolded. Contains three pages of an autograph letter in Italian signed by Puccini. Dated March 13th, 1903, he discusses a terrible fall he had falling from an automobile in which he broke his leg and is bedridden for two months. He mentions how his work on what he just calls "Butterfly" has been interrupted. He also discusses speaking to Ricordi [Casa Ricordi, Puccini's publishing house] on behalf of the recipient and wishing him good wishes on his approaching marriage. Madama Butterfly, one of Puccini's most well-known works, had an incredibly poor reception when it first premiered in February 1904, due in large part to a late completion by Puccini. Giacomo Puccini was a Italian composer, who left us some of the great operatic works, including La Boh?me (1896), Tosca (1900), Madama Butterfly (1904), and Turandot.In late 1906, a girl wrote to Puccini, sending her photograph, and asking for one from Puccini. He apparently knew her family and responded with this Autograph letter signed, November 11, 1906, Paris, on Grand Hotel de Londres letterhead. "Dear Miss, A thousand and thousand thanks for your photography.? I will reciprocate as soon as I receive one from the photographer - at present I don't have one - but the first one that I shall receive will be yours.? My respects to your dear mother.".
