Oft wurde die jüdische Gemeinde als eine Art Gegenrasse gesehen, die sich dadurch auszeichnet, die Gesellschaft in der sie lebt, subversiv zu unterminieren und sukzessiv die Kontrolle zu erlangen. Die gängigsten Vorurteile sind in einem Traktat namens Die Protokolle der Weisen von Zion Stück für Stück aufgeführt.
