He was especially well known for his sketches and drawings, some of his illustrations were used in the works of his brothers. The Barenreiter-Verlag is well known for their fine facsimiles. Scroll consisting of 10 panels (approximately 32 inches each) glued end to end and rolled on a wooden dowel, in the original mauve board box with printed paper label, flip lid, verso blank. Some darkening, fading, and rubbing of box, old celltape stain on box; small tape repair in third panel on both sides of scroll, some light spotting but generally very clean and in very good condition Facsimile of the original which is in the Bruder Grimm Museum in Kassel, Germany.
