The second presidency of Juan Domingo Perón began on June 4, 1952, where he officially assumed his second term and ended on September 16, 1955, following a coup that imposed a military dictatorship. Lopez Naguil was an Argentine painter, scenographer and illustrator, was born in Buenos Aires on March 15, 1894 and died in the same city on December 13, 1953. He trained in the study of Ernesto de la Cárcova and like the other young people of his generation , moved to Europe. In Barcelona he was a student of Francesc Galí and in Paris of Desiré Roca, besides frequenting the Viti academy, a place that allowed him to get in touch with Anglada Camarasa, becoming one of his disciples. Perhaps it is the one that has most approached his learning, essentially as regards the baroque, the exalted color and decorativist sense of the work. In Cala San Vicenç he painted the series dedicated to "Pi de Formentor" and "Cap del Pinar". It is surprising that during his stay in Mallorca he went almost unnoticed by the intellectuals of the time, when he had participated in relevant international events such as the "National Salon of Fine Arts" in Buenos Aires, where he won the first prize for the work "El chal black. He participated with Argentine artists in the "V Salón de Otoño" held in Madrid in 1924. The work "Viejo pino" qualified as extremely vigorous was made in Mallorca, reason why he was linked to the group of Argentine artists who worked and They lived in Mallorca: López Naguil, a meticulous and complex artist whose interpretative talent has called us so much attention in his illustrations of literary matters, exhibits his "Old Pine", landscape impregnated with deep melancholy, and in which a sense of color is noticed and the light, exquisite and refined. On his return to Argentina, he worked as a painting teacher and set designer for the Cervantes and Colón theaters, and in 1928 he participated in the "Mallor Painting Exhibition".
